The Australian Logistics Council (ALC) is a partnership between Australian Governments and senior leaders in the logistics field including logistics users, suppliers, peak bodies and academics. ALC exists to lead the development of logistics in Australia and to create competitive advantage for Australian companies and the Australian economy.

• We provide leadership within the freight logistics industry by encouraging industry collaboration on issues of mutual interest;
  
  
• We advise all governments on logistics issues on behalf of the freight logistics industry;
  
  
• We work to improve the image and profile of the freight logistics industry and to encourage greater acceptance by governments and the community of the important role the industry plays in our economy;
  
  
• We drive the implementation of the Australian Logistics Industry Strategy.
