Auditing
Managing and reviewing compliance
A key part of the code is an audit process that signatories agree to undertake.
The audit process provides for
- a Baseline Audit conducted within 180 days of signature
- Compliance Review Audits to be conducted on an annual basis for the first 3 years following signature and then, provided satisfactory results have been achieved, every 2 years thereafter, and
- a Triggered Audit if required.
Each signatory shall advise the ALC when each audit has been completed and the name of the Auditor. ALC will maintain a register of these details to which signatories to the Code will have access.
The basis for auditing is an assessment tool developed by the code implementation group. The assessment tool is designed, to assist each party to conduct a self-assessment, to establish whether they believe that they comply with the requirements of the matrix. It will also assist signatories to rate their perception of the performance of their RLSC partner against the matrix.
For more details on the audit process please see the guidelines.
